Born and lived at Chilwell, Nottinghamshire. Son of Jesse and Charlotte Adcock, of 31, Upper Regent Street, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Clara James. He was a Founday Labourer prior to enlisting at Nottingham and was killed in action 9th October 1917 whilst the battalion was marching to the supprt line near Hazebrouck, Belgium.

Buried/Commemorated : Cement House Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 1, Row, G, Grave 11.
