Born and lived at Chilwell, Nottinghamshire. Son of Jesse and Charlotte Adcock, of 31, Upper Regent Street, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Clara James. He enlisted at Nottingham and was killed in action 9th October 1917 whilst the battalion was marching to the supprt line near Hazebrouck, Belgium.

Buried/Commemorated : Cement House Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 1, Row, G, Grave 11.

His brother Private Jesse Adcock 16th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment also fell in the Great War.
