Born at Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Ephraim And Eliza Ann Baguley of 24, Dalestorth Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield; Husband of Lily Baguley, of 6, Pingle Fields, Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He was a stoker. Enlisted at Sutton-in-Ashfield and went to France 17th August 1915. He was killed in action, 16th September 1916, age 24, in the attack at Guillemont, France, during the Battle of the Somme, France.

Buried/Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.

His brother Private Leonard Baguley, 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, also fell in the Great War.
