Battalion : 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. Son of Robert and Wilhelmine Bailey, of Cemetery Lodge, Huthwaite. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Mansfield. He went to France 28th July 1915 and was killed in action, 31st October 1916, age 2., whilst the battalion was at F camp near Montauban, France.
Buried/Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
