Born at Loughborough, Leicestershire and lived at Beeston, Nottinghamshire. Son of John Thomas and Annie Barker, of 22, Mona Street, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. He was a painters assistant prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 25th February 1917 and died of wounds, 16th October 1917, aged 21, received on the night of the 4/5th October 1917, whilst serving in the Hill 70 trenches.
Buried/Commemorated : Lapugnoy Military Cemetery, France. Plot 6, Row A, Grave 15.
