Born at Whittington, Derbyshire and lived at Brimington, Derbyshire. Son of William and Almina Bradshaw, of 3 Station Road, Brimington, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Chesterfield and went to France 8th September 1914. He was killed in action during a German attack at Ennetteres, France, 20th October 1914, age 19.

His brothers Private George Walter Bradshaw 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and Private John Bradshaw, 11th Battalion Highland Light Infantry, also fell in the Great War.
