Private William Dickens

Battalion : 4th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born 1895 in Blackwell, Derbyshire and lived at Newton, Derbyshire. Son of Isaac and Ada Dickens of Main Street, Newton. He was a Coal Miner prior to enlisting at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He died of wounds, 1st November 1917, at Sunderland Military Hospital.
