Born at Hatfield, Hertfordshire. and lived 26, Malden Road, Watford, Hertfordshire. Son of Francis Daniel and Emily Sarah Dolley, of 37, St Albans Road, Watford, Hertfordshire; Husband of H. M. I. Lynn (formerly Dolley), of 39, Penn Road, Holloway, London. He was commissioned Second Lieutenant 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 24th January 1917. He joined the Battalion at Bacquel, France, 27th March 1917 and was killed in action, 1st July 1917, aged 29, in the attack on the German lines east of Cite St. Theodore, Near Lens, France.
