Battalion : 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

He was born at Nottingham. Son of Frank and Kate Lindsell, of Brookfield Road, Arnold, Nottingham. He was an apprentice in the hoisery trade and enlisted at Nottingham. He was killed in action at Larch Wood on the Ypres Salient 25th June 1917.

His brother Sergeant Walter Lindsell 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment also fell in the Great War.
