Born in London, Ontario, Canada. Son of The Hon. W. P. R. (Judge of High Court, Ontario), and Eleanor Street, of 10, Mackenzie Avenue, Rosedale, Toronto, Canada. Gazetted 1898 Lieutenant in the Hampshire Regiment. Served in India and The South African Campaign, Resigned 1906. Gazetted Captain in Sherwood Foresters, October 1914. Awarded the D.S.O. (Distinguished Service Order) London Gazette 3rd July 1915, For conspicuous good work under heavy fire between 13th and 16th May, 1915, near Le Touquet, and for going down a gassed mine to assist in the rescue of men. Died of wounds received  at Montauban 15th October 1916, aged 40.
